This blacksmith’s workshop was originally designed by LEGO fan Clemens Fiedler, but the final product has undergone a lot of revision. What do you think? Do these seem like LEGO introducing new adversaries for Black Falcons? The Black Falcons being brought back in the 31120 Medieval Castle and 21325 Medieval Blacksmith seems to feel like LEGO having longer-term plans for them, so whether we’re getting Crusaders, Lion Knights or a splinter Silver/White Falcon faction… it’s about time they have some competition.Īnyway, it’s a great time to be a Castle fan, so if you’re close to a LEGO Store with a Build a Minifigure station, I’d check it out to see if the new parts/characters are in, so you can pick these knights are. The banners in last year’s Creator 3-in-1 Medieval Castle were strangely red and white, so maybe the Black Falcons captured that keep… and the Silver Falcons are back to take back their castle. LEGO have introduced new sigils, such as Crows, and Bears through the Collectible Minifigures series, but to take a sigil as iconic as the Black Falcon one, and completely turn it silver is unprecedented and I think points to something bigger. I believe, the emergence of this brand new knights, especially since they’re made in large numbers to serve Build a Minifigure stations across the world, points to LEGO potentially introducing the White or Silver falcons as a new faction, maybe in the 2nd half of 2022. If their intel is fuzzy, and long-range leaks like these are usually predicated on very grainy, not-final imagery, maybe they could be mistaken, and the Castle will be the introduction of the White Falcons (or maybe Silver Falcons) with red and white colours. Not that we couldn’t get it, but humour me. We haven’t seen many nods to Lion King colours, and if it’s truly based on 6080 King’s Castle, you’d expect Crusader colours of red and yellow, or blue and yellow – which we haven’t seen much of. So maybe they could be Silver Falcons, which sounds slightly cooler.Ĭrazy conspiracy rumour-time – the 90th Anniversary LEGO Ideas set is heavily rumoured to be a Castle set, with Promobricks claiming that it’s a Lion King’s Castle. Here’s a comparison of the sigil with Black Falcons, both old and new.Īnd here’s a close-up of the new White Falcon sigil, which is lightly reflective. Except… it’s the almost the same silhouette, except that the Falcon is completely white, instead of the usual half-inverted falcon. Here’s a look at the back, where you can see more of that eye-catching red sash… and the Black Falcons sigil/logo. Red isn’t a colour associated with Black Falcons… so it did feel a bit off. Yes, it’s awesome that a staple army-builder minifigure can be found in BAM stations, but what really drew me to them were the Black Falcons shield, as well as the new torso, with some very attractive chain-mail, brown leather belt and a red sash, complete with a gold pin. Here are the new Knights found in Build a Minifigure. I’ll try and put a full review and write-up of all the new May 2022 Build a Minifigure exlusives soon, but I got really excited to see some new Castle-type Knights in BAM. I was at the Legoland Discovery Centre Melbourne to check out all the 1 May launches, and stumbled upon a whole set of new Build a Minifigure (BAM) exclusives. I believe LEGO may be introducing a brand new Castle faction – the White Falcons, to oppose the classic Black Falcons faction. Hear me out, I think I’m onto something here.
